Much to my dismay my mechanic of 20 years closed his doors, referring me to Metric Motorworks. Our initial contact was via phone, car died, towed to Metric. I was called with each step, in getting my car back in safe, running condition. Seems it was in "rough shape." The car was road tested before returned, found to have other issues that were taken car of. Vehicle returned, I turned the key...... it felt like it did when I bought the car over 15 years ago. Smooth, quiet...purred like a kitten! Instant sigh of relief! I will continue doing business with Metric Motorworks and highly recommend this establishment to anyone with automobile woes!”

This is my new go to mechanic and I am very very picky! They were honest about the condition of my car and gave me a reasonable quote to fix the minor issue but also complimented the amazing condition it is in. They will take care of you and they won't rip you off! Go here. Especially if you have a Mercedes they know what they are doing and they will treat your car as if it was their own.”

Our BMW was overheating, and continued to even after putting coolant in it. We were visiting from out of town and worried we wouldn’t be able to make it back home without spending an extra week or so in a motel, but glad it didn’t happen on our way up. We were referred by a AAA agent and barely made it before the engine started making noises. The owner, John, came out and informed us that the water pump was broken, and that it would be expensive. We told him that we were only booked for one more night where we were staying, and he moved around the schedule to make sure we could get our car back the next day in working condition. I can’t sing their praise enough, they made us feel more at ease with our situation and helped us out if the goodness of their hearts.”

I was on a week long trip as the support vehicle carrying all the gear with for 14 students when my '97 Ford F250 had the check engine light come on. I tried to take it into another place but they were closed and so I went down the road to Metric Motorworks. I knew it was a long shot because my old farm truck was truly out of place when I pulled into the lot full of foreign cars. Inside I overheard the person at the desk informing another customer that they were two weeks out on looking at vehicles. Not a great sign for having my truck looked at. However, the fellow who helped me was great! He came right out, plugged into the computer and diagnosed the issue. He gave me good information and I was on my way in just a few minutes. The check engine light didn't come on again during the rest of the trip even over mountain passes or in canyons with temperatures over 90 degrees. The best part of this whole event was the service, but the price was more than reasonable too. Thanks for being such a great business and helping me out this last week.”

I took my vw in for some simple work, and before they even started it they caught a bunch of loose clamps around my turbo that was causing my car to lose power and they went ahead and snugged them back up without being asked or it being a part of the original job. I've taken my car to 5 different foreign car mechanics all over oregon in the last 6 months and none of them caught it or did anything about it since it wasn't their specified task. I am very impressed and glad I took my vehicle to Metric Motorworks and would definitely recommend to anyone. Their prices are also very affordable, opposite of the outrageous prices I've been quoted for before by other mechanics.”
